Lab Accident
A 10th grade teacher named Anne Pole was trying to show her kids a demonstration of the rainbow of flames that results from burning four kinds of nitrates in separate crucibles. In the science lab the build up of methyl alcohol fumes went into a fire ball and went across a counter lit Alonzo Yanes on fire. Alonzo suffered from second and third degree burns on his neck and his head. Julia Saltonstall suffered less severe burns to her neck, head, and arm.
